Meet Kim- Designer, Teacher, and Legacy Crafstman
Hi — I’m Kim, co-founder and creative lead at FMB Laser Designs.
By day, I’m a full-time teacher. By night (and most weekends), I run this laser studio with the same care, structure, and attention to detail I bring to the classroom.
I come from a long line of builders and makers — my father worked in construction and carpentry, and some of my earliest memories involve watching him shape wood by hand. That tradition stuck with me. Only now, I’ve traded sawdust for lasers and design files — but the values are the same: craftsmanship, precision, and pride.
At FMB, I personally review every layout, cut, and engraving. Every product is made under my direction and doesn’t leave the shop unless I say it’s ready. It’s not about perfection — it’s about intention.
I started this business to help others give meaningful, lasting gifts — and to pass down a different kind of legacy: one of quality, creativity, and quiet strength.

Every piece we create follows the same simple process — one built on clarity, craftsmanship, and careful oversight.
It starts with your idea.
You share the occasion, the message, or the vision you have in mind. Whether it’s fully formed or just a rough concept, that’s enough to begin.
Then it’s refined under Kim’s direction.
Designs are reviewed, adjusted, and finalized with intention. Layout, spacing, materials, and finish are all considered before anything moves forward. Not every idea needs more — sometimes it just needs the right judgment.
Only approved designs are made.
Once a design meets Kim’s standards, production begins. Each piece is engraved, finished, and inspected before it ever leaves the shop.
What you receive is something she was proud to release.
No rushed work. No guesswork. Just a finished piece crafted with care — and approved from start to finish.
